Chypre has always been part of perfume history and my earliest journey into perfumery. It is impossible to study the craft without it.

Vet Noir comes from that respect, but also from distance. Classical Chypre has never been my personal taste, so I rebuilt it in my own way while keeping its structure intact.

Green notes, often sharp and dominant in traditional forms, are reworked here as something softer. They lift the citrus and quietly extend into the dry down, shaping the fragrance without taking control.

Vet Noir is a modern interpretation of Chypre, seen through a different lens.

Few materials define classical perfumery like oakmoss. This IFRA compliant Oakmoss Absolute preserves much of the depth and character that made the original material legendary while meeting modern safety standards.

Earthy, green, slightly sweet, and beautifully mossy, it forms the unmistakable backbone of a true chypre. Its rich natural complexity simply cannot be replicated by a single aroma molecule, making it an irreplaceable part of Vert Noir's timeless structure.

Bergamot Melito

Grown in Melito di Porto Salvo, Calabria, this exceptional bergamot is often regarded as one of Italy's finest. Harvested at peak maturity and distilled in its purest form, it showcases the character that has made Calabrian bergamot the benchmark of classical perfumery for generations.

Bright, vibrant, and naturally complex, it combines sparkling citrus freshness with gentle green facets, delicate bitterness, and a refined tartness. More than just a fresh top note, it brings elegance, structure, and unmistakable character to Vert Noir.
